Director, Product Transformation, Wealth Lending
Citi Wealth is a leading provider of financial solutions for affluent, high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients around the world. We are looking to hire a Director, Product Transformation within the Wealth Lending platform transformation team. As part of this team, you will drive strategic initiatives to modernize and innovate our lending product suite. This includes leading the evolution of existing platforms and spearheading the implementation of new capabilities that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Wealth Lending by translating business needs into transformational product strategies, ensuring alignment with Citi Wealth's objectives. This position requires a strong focus on optimizing the entire lending lifecycle, from origination to portfolio management, while navigating complex regulatory landscapes and fostering seamless integration with our technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
As Director, Product Transformation, Wealth Lending, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead a team of professionals to develop and execute the product transformation strategy for Wealth Lending, ensuring alignment with broader Citi Wealth business objectives and market demands.
- Collaborate with senior business leadership to refine market and platform strategy, ensuring that transformation initiatives, resources, and activities align with the business goals.
- Establish and execute strategies to pursue, develop, negotiate, and implement new platform capabilities and product offerings, from conception through to launch and ongoing management.
- Develop and execute the strategy to manage internal and external processes and cross-functional constituents through business case development, technology negotiations, and deal management processes.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations and adhering to Policy.
- Identify and develop mutually beneficial relationships with senior internal leadership and other Citigroup businesses to enhance success in establishing new and improved platform capabilities.
- Integrate Citigroup product offerings and data strategies as part of a robust financial solutions package for new and existing lending platforms.
- Work with business teams to identify and develop strategic and tactical initiatives that provide a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Qualification and Experience
- Extensive experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of success in the execution of large-scale implementations, particularly within the lending domain, banking technology, or product transformation
- Previous experience in new business development or product development is required, with experience in the lending domain being highly preferred. Experience in P&L management is also highly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex cross-functional initiatives through the business development and product implementation process. Influencing skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent senior-level negotiation and communication skills, alongside advanced analytical capabilities and business acumen for robust business case development. Foundational understanding of programming concepts is beneficial.
- Strong senior-level network across Citi lines of business and existing relationships with prospective partners and industry advisors.
- Fluency in structuring financial offers and experience negotiating complex multi-year agreements.
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex business requirements into tangible product and technology solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse business and technology stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent advanced professional qualification preferred.
