Product Development Assistant, Formal RTW

JOB PURPOSE
The Product Development Assistant will support our Ready-to-Wear Product Development team in bringing each collection to life. Working at the heart of the development process, you will help ensure products move seamlessly from concept through to delivery, maintaining exceptional standards of quality, accuracy and organisation throughout. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners while contributing to the craftsmanship and innovation that define Burberry. You will play an important role in enabling efficient product development and supporting the successful execution of each collection.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update product lifecycle management systems, ensuring data accuracy across the collection development process.
- Partner with Product Developers to support effective supplier relationships and help ensure timely, cost-conscious delivery of development milestones.
- Manage collection documentation, trackers and development records to provide clear visibility throughout the season.
- Monitor development budgets, samples and prototypes, supporting accurate tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate sample management, including organising, filing, archiving and preparing materials for fittings and key meetings.
- Support day-to-day product development activities, including shipment coordination, purchase order administration and product information management.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience supporting product development activities within a fashion, luxury or related product environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain accurate data across multiple workstreams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear and confident communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues, suppliers and external partners.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of development costs, budgets and product lifecycle processes.
- Passion for fashion, product craftsmanship and customer-focused innovation, with an interest in Ready-to-Wear construction and development.
