Year 1 Teacher - Richmond
A popular, well-resourced Richmond primary is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Year 1 Teacher to join its KS1 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to collaborative planning sessions before January 2026, will take part in an induction programme in January 2026, and will be in class from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher. Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
As the Year 1 Teacher you will: plan and deliver systematic phonics and guided reading sessions as the Year 1 Teacher; construct sequenced writing units and practical maths lessons as the Year 1 Teacher; use ongoing assessment to personalise learning and run small-group interventions as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will lead parent workshops, support transition into Year 2 and contribute to moderation activities that are scheduled before and after January 2026. The Year 1 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026, take part in induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), solid KS1 classroom evidence, and confident phonics delivery. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be reflective, organised and adept at building strong relationships with pupils and families. Availability for pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, attendance at induction in January 2026, and a Full-Time start from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher is essential.
