The Role
The school is seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the school.
This role will involve working closely with the Headteacher, governors and administrative staff to ensure that the school’s finances are managed efficiently and transparently.
Responsibilities
• Manage the school’s financial systems including budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare financial reports and budget monitoring statements
• Support financial planning with senior leadership and governors
• Manage procurement processes and supplier contracts
• Oversee invoicing, payments and financial records
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
• Monitor school expenditure and provide financial advice to leadership
• Support payroll administration and staff expense processes
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and accounting systems
• Liaise with auditors and external financial advisors
Requirements
• Previous experience in financial management or school finance
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Excellent knowledge of financial systems and reporting
• Ability to manage budgets and financial planning
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
