Senior Consultant - Power BI Architect

The Role:

We’re currently seeking a Senior Consultant - Power BI Architect with over 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence to help design and deliver impactful, scalable Power BI solutions across a range of sectors.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a consultative mindset—capable of engaging with clients, leading solution design, and guiding project delivery with a focus on excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions—spanning data modelling, ETL integration, report development, and dashboard creation.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, translate requirements into scalable technical designs, and lead BI strategy discussions.
• Define Power BI architectural standards and best practices to ensure performance, maintainability, and user adoption.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data readiness, quality, and alignment with reporting needs.
• Implement Power BI security models in accordance with client policies and compliance requirements.
• Stay current with Power BI updates and features, applying them to continuously improve solution design.
• Facilitate training, workshops, and enablement sessions to drive adoption and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Monitor and optimise performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Guiding the establishment of a Power BI Center of Excellence (CoE), defining standards, processes, and best practices to drive organizational BI maturity.
• Provide advisory support, especially in enabling self-service user groups and establishing related governance and support frameworks.

What we're looking for in our applicants: 

• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with proven expertise in designing and delivering Power BI solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and advanced visualisation techniques.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT workflows, and integration strategies.
• Solid experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills—able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail in delivering high-quality BI solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data/Information Technology, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. Data Analyst Associate, Data Engineer Associate) are a strong advantage.
• Experience in guiding a Power BI Center of Excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to provide advisory support for self-service user groups and governance.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or Qlik as part of a broader analytics toolkit.
• Prior consulting experience or working in a client-facing delivery role.
