The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
- Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and emotional support to students with a range of SEN
- Assist pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and social skills development
- Support teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
- Help create a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teachers to implement personalised support plans and monitor progress
Person Specification
- Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (essential)
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, or care) is desirable
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for SEN education and supporting vulnerable learners
