The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Digital Executive to support the project management & CRM teams of our department. Reporting to the Head of Product Design & UX, you will be responsible for maintaining our CRM database, creating targeted campaigns, and analysing customer data to uncover opportunities for growth particularly within the Arts and Entertainment sector. You will also be on hand to support our project managers with any admin related tasks such as CMS updates, task allocation, creation of spreadsheets to track client amends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist in the management of CRM platforms such as Mail jet, Mailchimp, and Dot digital.
  • Support in the input, update, and management of customer data to ensure database integrity.
  • Assist in creating, testing, and optimising email campaigns, leveraging A/B testing for improvements.
  • Support with tracking of email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and conversions.
  • Assist in the handling of data import/export processes and run database queries to support campaigns.
  • Support Project Managers with administrative tasks, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and documentation.
  • Assist with tracking project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Manage project-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Help organise team meetings and follow up on action items to maintain project momentum.
  • Support budget tracking and reporting for digital projects.

Essential Skills

  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance.
  • Work closely with the CRM Manager, sales, marketing, and project management teams to align on goals and execution.
  • Provide feedback on campaign performance and customer trends.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Proactively resolve issues within CRM systems or campaign processes.
  • Prioritise responsibilities based on business objectives and deliver high-impact results.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Team

As a Digital Executive, you will be a key member of the Digital Product Development and wider AKA Digital team, working closely with:

  • CRM Manager : Collaborate on strategy, customer journey improvements, and performance insights.
  • Project Managers: Provide administrative support, ensure project milestones are met, and help maintain project momentum.
  • Design and Development Team: Coordinate on CRM integrations and technical troubleshooting.

Your contributions will be key in driving customer engagement, streamlining project delivery, and improving overall business efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years previous experience as a Senior Marketing Manager or Marketing Director in theatre, arts or events / entertainment marketing.
  • Strong understanding and experience of the London and/or UK Theatre landscape is essential
  • A passion for attending theatre and live entertainment
  • Previous experience with or inside an agency environment is preferable.
  • Can work autonomously.

Deliver sound strategy and excellent team performance as Account Director.

  • Develop clear objectives for clients, ensuring client aims are fully understood and communicated in achievable plans by all members of account team.
  • Deliver a can-do attitude when it comes to client delivery and moving workflow through the agency.
  • Translate briefs into action, monitor progress throughout the agency, and ensure delivery of desired results.
  • Drive the team to deliver outstanding client service by anticipating, recognising, and meeting client needs and provide the best value for money in terms of cost/advice.
  • Encourage the team to strive for accountability, to measure results and report to clients across all aspects of the integrated campaign.
  • Direct the allocation of resources across project team required to deliver optimum results.
  • Empower and motivate team members to achieve excellence across their work.
  • Raise the profile of your project team internally and externally by recognising and praising good work and encouraging team participation.
  • Challenge the client and push boundaries with regards to creativity and innovation. Continually review work with projects team to develop new and creative ways to add value to sales campaigns.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention across all projects for which you are responsible.
  • Ensure the overall quality of work before presentation to client.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships, using influence to build consensus and support between the Strategy and Account Management team and other departments, seeking win-win solutions and ensuring issues are resolved.

Contribute to the agency's commercial and business objectives.

  • Influence and improve relationships with key clients, business partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver on the Strategy and Account Management department objectives that reflect commercial business goals and make the best use of team skills.
  • Responsible for overseeing financial management of project accounts including:
    • Issue of contracts.
    • Setting and working within credit limits.
    • Providing forecasts for the pipeline and priming documents.
    • Ensuring weekly billing takes place on all accounts.
    • Educate and lead the team to achieve the required overall margins of account budgets.
    • Responsible for agreeing fees and rate card level and implementing across the project.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of financial processes across the agency.


Share responsibility with other Account Directors and management team to promote and raise profile of the agency with clients and business prospects.

  • Take responsibility for becoming recognised as the main point of contact in the agency for several key clients.
  • Strive to ensure clients perceive the agency service as second to none in the industry and without doubt see AKA as an agency that can deliver strategic value, quality work and good value for money.
  • Maintain awareness of up-coming potential new business from both existing and new clients and follows up on potential leads.
  • Contribute to pitch work alongside the acquisition of new business.


Develop and manage direct report team.

  • Ensure best practice work process is followed to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Continually review workload to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
  • Identify training and coaching needs and propose appropriate action.
  • Instil enthusiasm, positivity, and motivation in dealings with all reports.
  • Share knowledge and advice on specific projects.
  • Encourage feedback from team with aim of continually improving company systems.
  • Conduct direct report performance appraisals with HOD and follow through on action points.

AKA is a fluid and rapidly changing organisation. This position profile reflects the general nature and level of work assigned to the role.
