Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for Quality Cloud Architects who want to join and grow a high-performing team which aims to help create a world class engineering capability. The technologies used will be wide ranging and varied. You will be energetic to learn and pick up new technologies and work across different clients and sectors. In this role we will be bringing together the traditional responsibilities across Quality Engineering, DevOps and Cloud Engineering.

Working alongside our clients, your role and responsibilities as a Quality Cloud Engineer will focus on:

• Strategy – Ability to understand the current landscape and provide recommendations to provide the greatest business value return.

• Enable – Implement new techniques and processes to improve engineering capability in the Route to Live. Teach our clients through the process and to own once it’s been implemented.

• Extend – Deliver engineering solutions across QCE areas, enhancing existing engineering within our clients whilst providing QCE insights to improve Route to Live.

You will have proficiency in several of our core capabilities and feel comfortable leading agile development teams.

• Cloud Platforms – Build on the Cloud using Automation and Infrastructure as Code, using best practices to build reusable templates.

• Quality Engineering – Leveraging test first techniques, test automation and continuous testing to enable teams to deliver safe working software.

• Developer Experience – Helping teams to scale development tooling and continuing to deliver business value effectively.

You will enjoy working with clients to uncover issues, present and deliver solutions.

Requirements

You will ideally have some experience with the following technologies;

• OpenShift and Kubernetes administration and management.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.

• Understanding of PostgreSQL database administration and optimization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Knowledge of container networking, security, and storage configurations.
