WHO WE ARE
We are Born Social, a social-first creative agency that brings brand building into the social era. We have a track record of delivering transformation for iconic brands like Guinness, Ford, and Barclays, led by our team of social natives and brand experts, underpinned by technology.
Backed by the strength of a brilliant business that's proudly B-Corp certified, we're consistently recognised as one of the best places to work.
We’re looking for an Account Director who's an Italian native to lead the local market social strategy and client relationship for Ford in Italy.
You'll work with our Italian clients (in local language) to deliver our social strategy in their market, leading a small team of freelancers on the ground in Rome to build community, ideate & create content all of which is rooted in Italian market knowledge and insights. All whilst collaborating with the wider Ford Europe account team to identify opportunities and communicate the value of Born Social's work to your local market clients.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Account leadership: Ensuring output for your market is in line with the overall social strategy and working with teams to execute against that strategy. Setting up teams effectively to support your pursuit of a higher standard of work. Inspiring your account teams to produce Born Social’s best work in all areas of delivery.
Relationship development: As the main point of contact for your clients you will be responsible for fostering collaborative, trusting and constructive relationships that allow you to effectively identify and communicate the value of Born Social's work to Ford
Project management: Organising key calls, meetings (team & independent) and Quarterly Reviews. Recognising and resolving delivery or client issues or lack of results. Working alongside wider team members to review ways of working to ensure delivery feels positive for both clients and teams.
Overseeing delivery: You'll work with a group of local market freelancers in Rome, Italy to deliver social-first work that meets our strategy - supporting with briefing, quality control & overseeing delivery.
Local market visits: To build strong relationships and deliver our best work, we'll organise regular (likely monthly) visits to Rome to spend time with your clients and our freelance network
Commercial management: Ensuring accurate delivery of scope of work (deliverables and time) using time tracking, ensuring deliverables are of high quality and all deadlines are met. Recognising and resolving any scope or resourcing issues and leading on new resourcing requests as well as reporting on commercial performance monthly.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You're a London-based Italian native (who speaks fluent English too!)
You have 4+ years of experience in a Client Services role in an agency setting
You're passionate about improving client experience and love the relationship development needed to do this
You're looking to own and drive the quality of the output on an account and have a good understanding of social first delivery (strategy, creative, media and management)
You have a good understanding of the principles of good project management and Client Services and have helped to develop this in others
You've got a proven track record of retaining, developing and growing accounts
NO GRIT NO PEARL
No Grit No Pearl is our creative mantra – a single-minded statement of intent that defines how we get to great work and the standard we hold ourselves to. Because we believe the best work isn't formed instantly, they're shaped through commitment, care, and perseverance. Grit isn’t about grind - it’s about staying curious, pushing ideas, and appreciating the process to reach the Pearl - work we’re proud of, created to the highest standard that makes a lasting impact.
VALUES
Our values aim to pinpoint the magic ingredients for us at our best. We look for people who share our values and can add to our culture.
⚡️ See Challenge as Opportunity ... is about our attitude and to be very clear, this is not a value of optimism, nor is it about loving every challenge.
⚡️ Say It Simply ... is how we communicate. Think of the basic rules of communication - honest, clear, confident.
⚡️ Do What You Say ... is the crux of our reputation and longevity. When you join Born Social, our trust is fully given. It is yours to lose.
⚡️ Make Each Other Better ... is about our culture of collaboration and commitment to development. We are only as good as the people around us so we all take responsibility for developing each other, as well as ourselves.
⚡️ Consciously Contribute ...is bigger than all the others. It ensures we grow right. It broadens our focus beyond Born Social and cements our commitment to doing what’s just, not what’s easy or immediately self-serving.
