Product Owner - Insurance Exp - required
Department: Technology & Data Purpose of the Role
The Product Owner – Data is responsible for understanding user needs, translating business requirements into user stories, and defining acceptance criteria. The role ensures that data products align with business goals and strategic objectives, supporting the development of the company’s next-generation data platform. Key Responsibilities * Analyse business processes and data requirements to create clear user stories and acceptance criteria. * Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and prioritise product features. * Participate in product lifecycle stages—from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery. * Identify data gaps, perform impact and quality analyses, and document conceptual designs. * Manage the product backlog and support roadmap planning based on business value. * Develop reporting and data integration solutions. * Build strong stakeholder relationships and support business case development. Skills & Experience * Degree-level education or equivalent experience. * Strong background in data, business analysis, and Agile delivery. * Knowledge of general insurance (including Lloyd’s and UK markets) preferred. * Proficient in SQL Server, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. * Experience with Azure Cloud Data Lake technologies is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications * Degree in Science, Maths, Computing, or Engineering. * LLMIT or CII certification (optional)
