PD (Self Shooting)

Drum Studios is looking for a talented and driven senior self-shooting Producer/Director to lead an access documentary featuring one of Britain's most iconic brands. This role requires a confident self-shooter who can produce contributors who have limited on-camera experience and has a track record of owning similar factual projects from pre-production through to final delivery, including shaping the story in the edit. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong editorial judgment, be able to shoot to a high standard, bringing experience of working with established brands. You'll oversee the project through to post-production, so hands-on experience in edit producing and writing voiceover is crucial. Key Responsibilities: Develop compelling shooting scripts incorporating contributor interviews, and actuality for hour-long programmes. Shoot independently to a high technical and creative standard. Communicate effectively between different stakeholders. Take ownership in post, crafting the voiceover and shaping the narrative. Work closely with production teams to ensure delivery of high-quality content on schedule and within budget. Maintain high standards in compliance and safeguarding throughout all stages of production. Essential Skills & Experience: Demonstrable experience working with brands in the access documentary space. High-level self-shooting proficiency. Experience managing the edit process through to final post. Full UK driving license.
