Office Manager role in Central London - Independent...
A prestigious Independent school in Central London is seeking a polished and highly organised Office Manager for a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP. This position is ideal for a practitioner who wants to lead a high-performing administrative team within a traditional, scholarly environment that prizes professional excellence.
The School Environment Set in the heart of London, this school is defined by its reputation for academic mastery and professional humanity. The front office is the "engine room" of the school—a tranquil, well-ordered space where staff are treated as respected professionals. You will join a leadership team that values professional trust and works with a sense of purposeful good humour. It is a safe and inspiring workplace where the administrative functions are held to the same high standards as the academic ones.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of administrative staff to ensure the seamless daily operation of the school office.
Oversee the school’s front-of-house experience, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere for parents and young scholars.
Manage complex administrative projects, including the coordination of school events, open days, and governor meetings.
Act as the primary liaison between the Senior Leadership Team and the wider school community.
Monitor and optimise office systems and budgets to ensure maximum efficiency.
Requirements
Significant experience in office management or high-level executive administration.
Exceptional command of written and spoken English with a professional demeanour.
The ability to lead a diverse team with poise and humanity.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary and Benefits
Full-time, permanent contract.
The school operates its own independent salary scale consistently set above the state sector equivalent.
Benefits include extended school holidays, private healthcare, and complimentary lunch during term time.
How to Apply As this is an ASAP start, we are reviewing applications immediately. Please submit your updated CV for consideration. If shortlisted, a member of our team will contact you via phone within 24 hours to discuss the role in further detail.
