Account Manager - B2B Marketing Agency

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager or Senior Account Manager with a strong background in B2B marketing to join our award-winning agency. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, has experience managing integrated B2B marketing campaigns, and enjoys building and maintaining strong client relationships. If you have experience in sales or business development, this may not be the right fit—we are seeking someone deeply immersed in marketing strategy, execution, and client management.

As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, helping to plan, manage, and execute high-impact marketing campaigns. You will work closely with internal teams—including creative, content, media, and digital—to bring strategic marketing initiatives to life. Your ability to understand marketing principles, manage complex projects, and collaborate with teams will be key to driving success for our clients and the agency.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients; managing day-to-day correspondence relating to project execution and progress. 
  • Responsible for overall project quality, timely delivery, and a seamless working partnership. 
  • Develop a clear understanding of client offerings, goals, objectives, and unique needs.  
  • Build strong and trusted client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction through responsiveness and reliability, and acting as their advocate within the organization.

Project Coordinat ion and Campaign Execution 

  • Responsible for project coordination and team collaboration - to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives. 
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign process, including project briefing, resource allocation, timeline management, and campaign performance analysis.  
  • Create & manage accurate budgets and project timelines, and maintain internal and external job folders, trackers, and documentation. 
  • Receive and analyze client briefs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of client goals and requirements. 
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as creative, digital, and content, to develop and execute marketing campaigns that meet client goals.  
  • Effectively communicate client requirements, project goals, and feedback to internal teams, ensuring clarity and successful execution. 
  • Prepare & drive regular client meetings and communications to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure timely follow-up on key actions. 

Leadership, Account Direction and Growth

  • Provide guidance to and supervise junior team members. 
  • Contribute to the development of account strategy and planning and tracking towards team revenue targets. 
  • Identify upselling opportunities and contribute to new business pitches. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and recommend marketing strategies that align with client objectives.  

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Keep clients updated on progress, spend, results and upcoming challenges in advance. 
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to clients, highlighting key insights, achievements, and areas for improvement.  
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure clients stay ahead in their marketing efforts.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in account management or a similar client-facing role in a marketing agency or corporate environment. 
  • Good understanding of marketing principles and strategies. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. 
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret marketing data and generate actionable insights. 
  • Proficient in using marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, project management platforms, and analytics tools. 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative solutions to client challenges. 
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships. 
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
