You will primarily teach Economics at Key Stage 5, preparing students for A-Level examinations and helping them develop a detailed understanding of both microeconomics and macroeconomics.

Depending on the specification, you will teach topics including markets, market failure, business behaviour, economic growth, inflation, unemployment, government policy and international trade.

The successful candidate will be confident using current economic examples and data to help students understand how economic theories apply in the real world. You will develop students' ability to analyse information, evaluate different arguments and construct well-supported written responses.

Regular assessment and examination preparation will form an important part of the role, alongside collaborative planning with other members of the department.

• Economics Degree or related subject

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification
