Bruin is delighted to be partnering with a respected Lloyd’s Syndicate in the search for a Compliance Analyst to join their growing Compliance Function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in regulatory compliance and governance to join a dynamic and collaborative team supporting both UK and international operations.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the business adheres to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. You will support a broad range of compliance activities across regulatory reporting, policy development, risk oversight, due diligence, monitoring, training, and governance.

This is a hands-on, varied position offering excellent exposure to the workings of a Lloyd’s Managing Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the regulatory reporting cycle, including tracking, scheduling, and assisting with submission of returns

  • Assist in drafting and embedding policies, controls, and frameworks aligned with FCA and Lloyd’s requirements

  • Conduct and review sanctions screening and due diligence across clients and third parties

  • Monitor marine cargo sanctions and support vessel tracking and embargo risk assessments

  • Assist with preparation of governance reports, whistleblowing summaries, and combined assurance updates

  • Maintain and enhance the firm’s Consumer Duty and Conduct Risk frameworks

  • Carry out horizon scanning of regulatory developments, escalating key items and assigning actions

  • Support the review of complaints, identifying themes and signs of customer vulnerability

  • Undertake KYC and third-party risk assessments across suppliers and brokers

  • Assist with Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs) and Lloyd’s attestation processes

  • Support compliance training, monitoring, induction, and awareness campaigns

  • Deliver compliance monitoring activities, supporting underwriter adherence and escalating where needed

  • Represent Compliance at relevant committee meetings and act as Deputy Committee Secretary when required

  • Mentor and support the development of junior compliance team members

About You:

  • Experience in a compliance, governance, or regulatory support role within insurance (Lloyd’s/London Market preferred)

  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and an interest in Lloyd’s regulatory frameworks

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Confident communicator and team player, comfortable working cross-functionally

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Planner, and comfortable working with internal systems

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to develop professionally, including pursuing relevant qualifications (e.g. ICA or CII)

Why Apply?

This role offers the chance to work with a highly experienced Head of Compliance in a respected Lloyd’s Syndicate that values governance, collaboration, and professional development. You’ll gain well-rounded exposure across compliance functions and play an integral part in shaping a culture of regulatory excellence.
