EYFS Practitioner - Camden
A welcoming primary school in Camden is recruiting a dedicated EYFS Practitioner to join their Reception team, starting January 2026. The successful EYFS Practitioner will deliver high-quality, play-based learning, support observation and assessment, and work closely with the Reception teacher to plan next steps. As an EYFS Practitioner, you will support language development, early number work and personal, social and emotional learning so that children make strong progress. The EYFS Practitioner will be an essential member of the Early Years team and will actively contribute to the setting’s learning journeys and assessment records.

The role of EYFS Practitioner includes leading small-group activities, supporting transitions into Reception, maintaining accurate learning records, and liaising with parents. We are looking for an EYFS Practitioner who is calm, organised and enthusiastic about early childhood development. The appointed EYFS Practitioner will begin induction in January 2026, take part in curriculum planning from January 2026, and be fully active in the classroom in January 2026. Candidates living in Camden or able to commute to Camden are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities (EYFS Practitioner):
• Deliver focused, play-led activities and support continuous provision as the EYFS Practitioner.
• Observe, record and contribute to assessment documentation.
• Support safeguarding, wellbeing and parent communications.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching assistants.
Person specification (EYFS Practitioner):
• Experience or training relevant to the EYFS role — ideal for an EYFS Practitioner.
• Strong understanding of child development and observational assessment.
• Good ICT skills for recording learning journeys and the ability to start January 2026 in Camden.
