Prepare Key Stage 4 and 5 candidates thoroughly for national examinations using data-driven progress tracking and diagnostic essay feedback routines.
Track, evaluate, and monitor individual student progress, implementing targeted intervention strategies to stretch high-aspiring scholars while scaffolding core concepts for developing learners.
Contribute positively to department enrichment, such as field trips, historical debate clubs, eco-sustainability initiatives, and Model UN projects.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.
A strong academic degree in Geography, History, Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a combined Humanities discipline.
Demonstrated track record or capability of delivering high-quality Humanities instruction across Key Stage 3, with clear specialist capability at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
Solid knowledge of national examination board specifications (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR) across humanities subjects.
Superior classroom presence, refined questioning techniques, and an infectious enthusiasm for global, historical, and ethical inquiries.
Salary & Benefits
Pay Scale: Outer London Main / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS Outer London, commensurate with experience), with potential TLR opportunities available for Subject Coordination or Humanities Enrichment.
Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), comprehensive continuous professional development (CPD), structured onboarding, and access to staff health and wellbeing schemes.
