Data Engineer – Real Estate Analytics
Build the data infrastructure behind products and client decisions in a high-growth real estate data business. This is a hands-on opportunity to own pipelines, warehousing and analytics delivery with direct founder exposure.
The Company
A growing data company serving Real Estate Investment clients, with roots in the internal data function of a multi-billion-pound commercial property group. Our small, senior team delivers practical data solutions across a sophisticated client base. You will work from a Soho, London office and have close interaction with founders and senior stakeholders.
The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will combine strong analytical thinking with hands-on data engineering delivery. You will build and maintain the pipelines, warehouse infrastructure and transformations that underpin products and client projects. The role could suit a Data Analyst who has moved into engineering or a technical data consultant with proven delivery experience. You will translate commercial requirements into robust data solutions while shaping how data is structured, transformed and used across the business.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines across multiple data sources
- Develop and optimise SQL transformations, data models and analytical datasets
- Build and maintain scalable data warehouse infrastructure for products and client projects
- Develop automated data workflows to improve data quality, reliability and accessibility
- Translate complex business requirements into practical, production-ready data solutions
- Work closely with founders and senior stakeholders to shape data strategy and delivery
- Contribute to data architecture, modelling and engineering best practice across the team
- Troubleshoot pipeline, warehouse and data quality issues, driving improvements through to resolution
- Support the development of analytical products that turn complex datasets into commercial insight
- Take ownership of projects from initial requirements through to delivery and ongoing optimisation
Benefits and Perks

- Direct exposure to founders and senior stakeholders
- Genuine ownership across products and client data projects
- Clear progression within a growing, well-backed company
- Modern Soho office with some flexibility on working pattern

Requirements
- Strong SQL skills with practical data transformation and modelling experience
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines, warehouses or related infrastructure
- Background in Data Analysis with progression into Data Engineering, or technical data consulting experience
- Commercial or consulting experience and confidence engaging stakeholders
- STEM degree, ideally Mathematics, Physics or Engineering, at 2:1 or above
Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
- Python for data processing, automation or pipeline development
- dbt for data transformation, modelling and testing
- Cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Databricks
