Full time hours on a temporary basis
About the Role
Working within our Assets team, you will oversee projects across properties, as well as associated parks and road infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in monitoring site activity, ensuring compliance with specifications, and safeguarding quality across all works.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor works on site, with a strong focus on damp and mould remediation and domestic refurbishment projects
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with technical specifications, standards, and health & safety requirements
- Identify defects, poor workmanship, and non-compliance, ensuring issues are rectified promptly
- Oversee contractors and ensure high standards of performance and delivery
- Conduct regular site inspections across residential properties, communal areas, parks, and road infrastructure schemes
- Provide detailed reports on progress, quality, and any risks or issues identified
- Support the successful delivery of asset management programmes and planned works
- Ensure value for money and adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain strong project coordination
About You
- Proven experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, or similar role within housing, construction, or asset management
- Strong knowledge of damp and mould diagnosis and remediation
- Experience overseeing domestic refurbishment or planned maintenance programmes
- Good understanding of construction standards, building regulations, and health & safety requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and quality issues
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. construction, surveying) desirable
