Are you a vigilant and dedicated professional looking for a rewarding career in security? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring that security protocols are upheld at all times. About the Role:
As a Portfolio Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Manage daily shift rotations and work schedules ensuring all contracted hours & additional ad-hoc hours are manned on time within your area. You will anticipate gaps, provide solutions and cover but keep Operations Support Manager and DSM informed
- Attend the daily Supervisors meeting as directed passing on all relevant information to staff and with other supervisors. Raise with DSM all issues and risks opportunities and threats
- You are responsible for staff welfare on your portfolios. You are to challenge and thoroughly engage with staff absence and you will be measured on this aspect of line management. You are expected to minimise absence by supervising individuals closely and encouraging and leading by example
- Provide robust management around your staff behaviour, presentation, discipline and timekeeping. You are expected to lead by example and deal with issues quickly and robustly leaving your staff in no doubt what the standards are. Evidence of moral courage will be measured to ensure you have control of your staff issues
- Ensure all staff are trained on building specific posts and systems such as fire panels, IT systems, Tracktic and in the use of the building communications equipment. Keep a record of the training, schedule and log refresher training. Any new procedures or changes are to be communicated by you to all your team in a timely manner
- You will be wholly responsible for the day to day supervision of staff and security operations within your allocated portfolio (group of buildings and their areas) and or an area like the Estate

What we are looking for:
- Demonstrable and proven experience managing a large workforce (30 plus) on a day to day basis
- Have experience of using a command, control and communications centre to manage security operations
- Experience of working in a facilities environment
- Have experience in dealing with multiple issues at once, prioritising and resolving problems
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively deal with incidents with demonstrable resilience and self-control
- Strong IT Skills (Microsoft, Excel, Office 365, PowerPoint) with ability to use data to create reports and statistics
- Strong customer service skills
- SIA – DS and CCTV if preferable
