Clinical Research Administrator
- Supporting the coordination of the patient and early-career researcher network.
- Management and coordination of the 16 sub-groups, as well as the steering committee and oversight boards, including scheduling and setting meeting dates.
- Managing delivery of both in-person and virtual meetings, including sending calendar invites, booking rooms, arranging catering and registration processes.
- Supporting with circulating papers and taking meeting minutes, where required.
- Processing researcher travel expenses in line with internal policies.
- Managing the network membership, working with internal teams to maintain a database, via the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Maintaining the webpage ensuring information about the Network is clear, accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining up to date files and records, taking responsibility for the storage of information and documents in an organised way.
- Assisting with the set-up of the new Funding Committee ensuring internal CRM systems are kept up to date.
- Scheduling Committee meetings and supporting with the logistics for in-person interviews.
- Assisting with the monitoring processes of funded teams, including sending reports and collating paperwork, as well as liaising and sharing updates with internal teams, such as fundraising.
- Arranging meetings with funded teams, as well as site visits, where required.
- Assisting with the delivery of any relevant researcher engagement events, such as workshops, meetings or conferences.
- Assisting with the coordination of our research involvement activities, such as scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and helping to manage communications with people affected by blood cancer.
- Contribute to the team being proactive and supportive, and working effectively and efficiently to achieve agreed cross-team tasks and objectives.
- General admin across the Research Team e.g. preparation of newsletters, triage of enquiries, supporting ad-hoc projects.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of strong internal relationships across the charity, notably the Finance and Data teams.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting in your area to both internal and external stakeholders when required.
- Undertake other work as required by the Deputy Director of Research and Clinical Research Programme Lead.
- An understanding of the medical research charity sector, with an interest in blood cancer research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including senior academics, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and courtesy in both verbal and written interactions.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) with the ability to efficiently manage and organise information/data.
- Experience working in an administrative role, including organising meetings and managing documentation, whilst providing a professional service
- Administrative skills and experience, with strong organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, with an interest and/or experience of streamlining processes for improved efficiencies.
- Experience using CRM systems or databases would be beneficial but not required. A willingness to gain experience with new IT systems is essential.
