Postal Delivery Driver (Hiring Immediately)

Location: Stockwell Delivery Office, SW9 0BD

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 Months)

Salary: £16.24 per hour * (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 6 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday between 07:15 and 16:00 with every 5th week off. Sundays will be 7.5 hour to 8.5 hour shifts falling between 10:00am and 19:30

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at London Victoria Delivery Office.

• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily
• Working in all weather conditions
• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances , climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
