M&E Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor - Healthcare) - £65,000 + package - London
Major Projects | Life Sciences & Hospitals | £100M+ SchemesOur client is a National Main Contractor, and their Build team is strengthening its London commercial team and is seeking a talented M&E Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of large scale, complex projects within the life sciences and healthcare sectors. With project values of up to £100M, this is an outstanding opportunity to work directly with a well-regarded national main contractor.In this role, you’ll take ownership of M&E packages ranging from £10M-£40M, working across multiple schemes and playing a key part in driving commercial performance, procurement strategy, and contractual management. You’ll be joining an established, supportive commercial department collaborating across multiple projects.
You will be responsible for:Commercial management of M&E packages across several major projects.Procurement, tendering and subcontractor negotiation.Cost planning, forecasting, CVRs and value management.Managing subcontract accounts from award to final account.Supporting risk management and contract compliance.Ensuring full alignment with programme, design integration and build sequencing.Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial targets are met or exceeded.
You will have/be:Experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor (main contractor or specialist subcontractor background).A strong understanding of MEP systems in complex, live environment (healthcare, labs, or similarly technical sectors is beneficial).Confident managing packages £10M+ in value.A relevant degree or equivalent and strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and contractual awareness.
