Year 4 Teacher - Dagenham

The Year 4 Teacher will plan coherent, knowledge-rich sequences across English, mathematics and foundation subjects, deliver focused interventions and contribute to phase moderation. This Year 4 Teacher position starts January 2026, and a thorough induction will be provided ahead of January 2026 so the Year 4 Teacher can begin the spring term with confidence.

Role responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons that build cumulative knowledge and skills.
• Use assessment to set precise targets and to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs.
• Lead small-group teaching, monitor its impact and refine approaches to accelerate progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to moderate standards and contribute to curriculum development across Dagenham.
• Communicate effectively with families and support wider school events and enrichment.

Person specification

• Qualified teacher with solid KS2 experience and strong Year 4 classroom practice.
• Confident planner, data-aware and skilled in behaviour management and differentiation.
• Collaborative, proactive and committed to working within the Dagenham school community.
• Ready to start January 2026 and to take part in induction activities scheduled before January 2026.
