King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
London

Job overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Agency Compliance Coordinator to join King’s Staff Bank within the People Directorate at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This role plays a vital part in supporting the safe and compliant deployment of temporary agency workers across the Trust. You will ensure all Direct Engagement (DE) agency staff meet NHS Employers Pre‑Employment Check Standards, framework requirements and Trust governance processes before they are booked to work.

Working closely with Trust managers, clinical teams and external agency providers, you will be responsible for the accurate input, maintenance and monitoring of compliance records across multiple systems including ESR, Trac, Allocate (BankStaff/Optima) and Patchwork. You will manage large volumes of data, maintain high standards of accuracy, and ensure all information is handled in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.

The post holder will act as a key point of contact for compliance and agency-related queries, supporting audits, workforce monitoring and the smooth onboarding and off‑boarding of agency workers. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues in the Staff Bank Bookings and Payroll teams to resolve queries and support efficient service delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, experience of compliance or HR processes, and a commitment to upholding the Trust’s values of Kind, Respectful and Team.

Main duties of the job

You will play an important role in helping keep patients and services safe by ensuring all agency workers are fully compliant and ready to work before starting shifts at King’s.

You will review and verify key pre‑employment checks such as Right to Work, DBS, occupational health and professional registrations, ensuring everything meets NHS and Trust standards. You will accurately maintain agency worker records across systems including ESR, Trac, Allocate (BankStaff/Optima) and Patchwork, handling sensitive information in line with GDPR.

Working closely with the Staff Bank Bookings, Payroll, ICT teams and external agencies, you will support the smooth onboarding of new agency workers, including arranging system access and EPIC training, and manage leavers by ensuring records and access are closed down appropriately.

You will act as a helpful first point of contact for compliance‑related queries, providing clear advice, resolving issues where possible and escalating concerns when needed. You will also support audits, reporting and workforce monitoring by maintaining high‑quality data.

You will organise and prioritise your workload effectively, support colleagues during busy periods, and contribute ideas to improve processes and service delivery, always working in line with King’s values of Kind, Respectful and Team.
