London

Location: N7, North London
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-Term Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a highly supportive secondary special school in N7 from September. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity to work with students aged 11–19 who have a range of additional needs, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for life beyond school.

The school currently supports around 130 students from Year 7 to Year 14 and provides a nurturing and ambitious learning environment where every young person is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

About the School

The school places a strong emphasis on preparing students for adulthood. Alongside academic learning and ASDAN Personal Progress qualifications, the curriculum focuses on:

• Developing independence and life skills

• Supporting social, emotional and personal development
• Encouraging participation and contribution within the wider community
• Celebrating each student's individual strengths and interests

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs

• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and external professionals

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
• Is patient, compassionate and resilient
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to supporting students to achieve their personal goals
• Has a genuine passion for inclusive education

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can positively impact the lives of young people and help them prepare for a successful future, we would love to hear from you.
