Governess (UHNW Family)
Summary
A UHNW international family is seeking a Native English (or native-level) Governess for their two
daughters aged 4 and 9. The role is based in Chelsea with international travel required during
school holidays.
The successful candidate will provide academic support across all core subjects, with a particular
focus on Maths, while delivering engaging, creative, and educationally focused childcare.
This position can be offered on a temporary or permanent basis and is available for an ASAP start.
Duties:
• Provide structured academic support across all core subjects, with a strong emphasis on Maths
• Support school and nursery learning objectives and help reinforce classroom topics
• Plan and deliver creative, educational, and age-appropriate activities
• Organise stimulating after-school schedules balancing learning and play
• Assist with homework, reading, and academic development
• Encourage curiosity, confidence, and positive learning habits
• Support wider childcare duties as needed
• Assist with the evening routine and bedtime preparation
• Travel with the family internationally during school holidays
• Liaise with parents regarding academic progress and development
Candidates Must Be / Have:
• Native English speaker or native-level fluency
• Strong academic background, particularly confident teaching Maths at primary level
• Experience working with UHNW families preferred
• Previous Governess or educational childcare experience
• Creative, energetic, and engaging approach to learning
• Warm, fun, and professional manner with children
• Organised and proactive with activity planning
• Flexible and travel-ready
• Discreet and accustomed to private household environments
Working Hours
• Monday to Friday: 15:30 – 20:00
• Additional flexibility during school holidays and travel periods
Location
• Chelsea, London
• International travel during school holidays
Salary in range of £70000-80000 per annum
Depending on experience
• Competitive salary offered
