Project Assistant

Dr Jed Odermatt and Professor Tamara Hervey are looking to recruit one paid project assistant .

The project involves producing a literature review, for a project on the competencies of a researcher in international and/or European law of an early career scholar based in Europe. In other words, what would we expect an early career person (or more established scholar) to be able to do in order to carry out legal research. We are focusing on European and international law, because many (perhaps all) interesting and important legal questions of our time are not only determined by law at national jurisdictional level, but are also affected by European and international law, broadly defined. 

So this is a literature review on legal research methodologies in European and international law.

The point of this literature review is to support the creation of a Delphi questionnaire, which we will disseminate through our networks. 

The work will take place in the second half of June and early July, but otherwise can be adjusted to fit around your other responsibilities. The work must be done and claimed for before budget year end, which is July 2025.

The rate of pay is £18.40 per hour, and there are up to 35 hours of paid work available within the funding envelope. It is basically one week’s work, full time, or you could do it over a few weeks. All payments will be managed through Unitemps , who will send you a contract.
