Senior Delivery Manager
We're looking for a Senior Delivery Manager for a central government department based nationally (hybrid) on an initial 6 months contract, paying up to £750 per day (Inside IR35).
This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend an office two days per week. The successful Senior Delivery Manager will lead complex, high-risk digital delivery and act as the main point of escalation across the product life cycle. You'll mobilise delivery arrangements quickly, establish proportionate governance, reporting and controls, and keep multiple suppliers and civil service teams aligned around shared outcomes. You'll also handle knowledge transfer and embed sustainable delivery practices before exiting a time-limited engagement. You will need proven experience working with the following: Leading complex digital delivery at Senior Delivery Manager level, ideally in multi-supplier or managed-service environmentsMobilising delivery and establishing proportionate governance, reporting and controls at pace
Strong supplier management and coordination across multiple organisations
Managing cross-team dependencies, risks, issues, resourcing and delivery spend, with timely escalation
Clear, evidence-based reporting to senior stakeholders
A strong understanding of agile and user-centred digital delivery, adapting methods to context Experience of working in government or another complex, regulated organisation would be beneficial.
