Behaviour Mentor
Behaviour Mentor Location: Ealing, West London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-Term & Daily Supply Roles Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm A range of welcoming mainstream and SEN schools across Ealing are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join their supportive teams on both long-term and daily supply placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Behaviour Mentors, Pastoral Support Workers, Teaching Assistants, and individuals with relevant experience who are passionate about supporting pupils with behavioural, social, emotional, and additional needs. You will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours, and reach their full potential. About the Schools The schools are friendly, inclusive, and well-organised settings that place a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, personal development, and positive behaviour. Staff work collaboratively to create safe and supportive environments where every child has the opportunity to thrive. You may be working across mainstream and SEN schools, supporting pupils with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, and additional needs. Schools offer opportunities to work alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and other support staff. The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with behavioural, social, emotional, and SEN needs * Build positive, trusting, and supportive relationships with pupils * Support pupils to manage their behaviour, emotions, and responses appropriately * Deliver targeted interventions focused on behaviour, emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement * Help pupils develop positive coping strategies and approaches to managing challenges * Encourage positive behaviour, independence, resilience, and self-confidence * Support pupils to engage positively with their learning and the wider school environment * Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and support staff * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate * Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment About You * Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, or support setting * Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEN needs is essential * Experience providing 1:1 and small-group support * Experience delivering or supporting targeted interventions * Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner * Patient, empathetic, resilient, and approachable * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * Passionate about supporting pupils' wellbeing, behaviour, and development * Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team * Comfortable working across mainstream and SEN school environments * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education) * Must be available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm What’s on Offer * Long-term and daily supply opportunities across Ealing * Opportunities to work across both mainstream and SEN schools * A variety of 1:1, small-group, and intervention-based roles * Support from a dedicated education consultant
