Cash Supervisor - Newcastle

As a Cash Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the store. You will oversee various operational activities, including inventory management, cash handling, and compliance with company policies. A key aspect of your role will be coaching and developing beauty advisors operations, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold operational standards. Your primary goal will be to maintain high cash operational standards while fostering a collaborative, motivated team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and coach Beauty Advisors Operations, and store staff on company policies, cash procedures, and customer service standards to ensure high levels of motivation, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear performance goals, and create personalised development plans to guide each team member’s growth.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and creative team environment, driving a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence in service.
- Support senior store management in managing employee relations (ER) issues, including lateness, attendance concerns, and performance-related matters. Assist in conducting investigations, disciplinary meetings, and other related processes.
Cash Operations Management:
- Oversee all cash handling procedures, including register operations, deposits, and reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy, security, and effective cash flow management through regular audits and reviews.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs related to cash management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.
- Collaborate with the store team to implement loss prevention strategies, minimise theft and fraud, and ensure compliance with company policies on cash handling to maintain a secure environment.
- Identify and address operational inefficiencies, implementing solutions to optimise processes, increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall store performance.
Operational Support & Store Maintenance:
- Resolve IT or operational issues related to cash transactions, ensuring seamless daily operations.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising standards to enhance the customer experience.
- Regularly monitor stock levels, particularly Minis & More items, and ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational policies across all store functions.
Skills
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the retail industry, with in-depth knowledge of cash handling, and a strong ability to oversee cash operations, ensure operational efficiency, and coach staff in best practices for financial accuracy.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to foster relationships and deliver tailored experiences that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Strong ability to analyse store performance, drive sales, and meet financial targets, particularly in the context of cash operations and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience in handling employee relations (ER) issues, such as lateness, performance concerns, and disciplinary processes.
- Comfortable using technology and systems to manage operations, cash handling, track sales, and support inventory management and customer engagement.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons as required.
