Graduate Teaching Assistant

Academics are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them in September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time role ideal for those who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with a Year 2 class, providing both general classroom support and one-to-one assistance for pupils with mild to moderate learning difficulties
*
Lead small intervention groups focused on boosting Literacy and Numeracy skills
*
Support teaching staff with daily classroom activities and light administrative duties
*
Take part in playground supervision, contribute to class displays, and become a valued part of the school community

Requirements:

A recent graduate (Psychology, Education, or related fields desirable)

Some experience working with children – this could include tutoring, mentoring, youth work, sports coaching, or volunteering
*
A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
*
A proactive, enthusiastic and caring approach
