Researcher, Control Risks ONE
Control Risks is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Researcher to join our Control Risks ONE team. This role is predominantly in-person, requiring 80% attendance at our Global Risk and Operations Center (G-ROC) located London, England .
As a Researcher, you will spearhead Control Risks ONE’s initiatives to coordinate city-level monitoring and briefings, ensuring that data is effectively formatted and content-rich for seamless client delivery. This role demands excellent deadline management, proficiency in editing various writing styles to maintain uniformity, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality products. Additionally, you will conduct supplementary research to enhance existing city briefs as needed.
Your responsibilities will also include supporting Associate and Senior Risk Consultants in their duties, particularly in high-pressure environments, liaising with other business lines within the firm, and conducting research to produce bespoke written security assessments for our multinational clients operating in complex regions. Furthermore, you will assist Control Risks ONE leadership with Quality Control processes as required.
This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering top-tier risk and security insights.
Requirements
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the Control Risks City Guides initiative, ensuring all submissions adhere to established standards and requirements.
- Edit guides for grammar, clarity, formatting, and style to maintain high-quality outputs
- Conduct comprehensive research across various sources to assist Associate and Senior Risk Consultants in completing guides and supporting other business lines and client products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants collaborating on guide production.
- Effectively manage time to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously.
- Utilize Seerist as the primary platform for conducting research.
- Support Associate and Senior Risk Consultants in delivering bespoke written security assessments to multinational clients operating in complex environments.
- Collect, evaluate, and disseminate open-source and other relevant data under the guidance of Associate and Senior Risk Consultants and Control Risks ONE Leadership
- Collaborate with the Control Risks ONE leadership team to enhance Quality Control processes and improve team efficiencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, International Relations, or related degree OR equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in open-source intelligence collection and threat analysis.
- Proven ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of global geopolitical affairs and their impact on various sectors.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sources and solve intricate problems.
- Proficiency in preparing concise, detailed written reports with meticulous attention to detail.
- Superior customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and relationship management.
- Strong collaborative abilities, adept at working with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven track record of conducting thorough and effective research.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a proactive approach to implementing feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to be a positive and productive team member.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS/Esri and/or data visualization skills is highly desirable.
