Insurance Project Manager

For a client in the insurance segment, we are seeking a Project Manager to serve as Data Migration Workstream Lead. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex data migration activities within a Financial Crime transformation program.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of the data migration workstream (covering extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation)

Draft and own the migration runbook

Manage delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives

Coordinate cross-functional teams (data, SMEs, technology, third party vendor)

Drive stakeholder engagement across business, IT, and third parties

Oversee data quality, reconciliation, and validation processes post-migration

Facilitate issue resolution and decision making across programme layers

Support cutover planning, deployment, and post-migration stabilisation

Skills

Must have

Proven experience leading a data migration within a complex programme

Strong stakeholder management across senior business and technical audiences

Data mapping and transformation

Data cleansing and enrichment

Migration tooling and reconciliation processes

Strong project management capability across full lifecycle delivery

Ability to clearly communicate risks, dependencies, and progress

Experience producing governance outputs (e.g. steering reports, RAID management, dashboards)

Experience working within financial services

Outcome-focused with strong delivery accountability

Nice to have

Knowledge of data models related to client, product, and regulatory data

Experience working with external vendors and system integrators

Skilled at navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and dependencies

Exposure to large-scale entity and document migration volumes (e.g., client data, onboarding records)
