Behaviour Mentor – What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges (in schools, youth settings, or mentoring roles)
- Calm, empathetic, and emotionally aware, with strong de-escalation and communication skills
- A genuine passion for improving children’s wellbeing and educational experiences
- Confidence in using behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches
- A team player who works effectively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external agencies
- Committed to inclusion, building positive relationships, and modelling constructive behaviour
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor , you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, helping them manage emotions and behaviour effectively
- Build trusting relationships and offer consistent, structured guidance
- Encourage re-engagement with learning and support pupils in developing positive coping strategies
- Collaborate with teachers to maintain calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environments
