An innovative secondary school in Newham is seeking a creative and energetic Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2026. This position is ideal for a practitioner who wants to lead high-quality performances while maintaining a rigorous academic approach to musicology and composition.

Responsibilities
Teach Music across KS3 to KS5, balancing performance skills with written theory and composition.
Oversee and direct school ensembles, choirs, and extracurricular music clubs.
Build student confidence and communication skills through inclusive and challenging lessons.
Work collaboratively with the wider Creative Arts team on school-wide festivals and projects.
Manage the department budget for instruments, software, and visiting professional workshops.
Requirements
Degree in Music or a related field.
PGCE or QTS.
Experience directing or coordinating school-wide performances is highly desirable.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary and Benefits
Full-time, permanent contract.
M1 – UPS3 Salary Range + Bespoke School Allowance.
