Panel & Assessment Manager
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to effectively manage the Panel and Assessment process in line with Fostering Services Standards & Regulations and the internal standards and requirements of the Compass Community .
The ideal candidate will have previous experience or an excellent understanding of the assessment process and the functions of the fostering panel.
You will be responsible for supervising assessments and maintaining regular contact with the assessing social workers to ensure that assessments are completed to a high standard and are delivered within identified timescales.
You will be required to sit as the Panel Advisor ensuring that the the Fostering Panel functions in a transparent & cohesive manner and that decision making is evidenced. In conjunction with the panel administrator, you will monitor panel timetables ensuring these are efficient and meet the requirements of the Group.
You will be responsible for monitoring and updating Management Information Systems, keeping accurate records and producing reports as identified.
You will play a key role in the recruitment and training of Assessing Social Workers and Panel Members and the ongoing development of the service.
You will need to be flexible and possess excellent communication skills. Have the capability to use your initiative and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met and to enable the smooth running of the service.
