Senior Claims Adjuster
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion within a growing, globally-recognised MGA and Lloyd’s Syndicate.
Our client is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their high-performing team, focusing on a broad portfolio of Cross-Class Claims , with an emphasis on Short-Tail lines , including but not limited to Property, Marine, Energy, and Specialty sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of complex and technical claims across multiple classes of business. You will take ownership from first notification through to resolution, ensuring all claims are handled in line with regulatory standards and company procedures.
Independently handle and oversee the adjustment of large and complex claims, with a focus on Short-Tail lines.
Act as a senior point of referral for cross-class claims matters, providing guidance and mentorship to junior adjusters.
Drive strategic claims outcomes through proactive case management and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor loss developments, recommend appropriate reserving strategies, and communicate material exposures to underwriting and actuarial teams.
Conduct and lead claims audits with key cedants and TPAs, ensuring service levels and claims philosophies are aligned.
Identify process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices within the claims function.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, underwriters, external counsel, loss adjusters, and reinsurers across the global market.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience handling complex claims in a lead or senior capacity , ideally within a Lloyd’s or company market environment .
Broad technical claims expertise across multiple lines, with particular strength in Short-Tail classes.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse trends and provide insight to support underwriting and portfolio decisions.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
A proactive, collaborative mindset, with a continuous improvement approach to claims handling.
