After School Nanny
This is a dynamic, hands-on role best suited to someone with a genuine passion for sport, child development and active lifestyles. The Role
This is a sport-led afterschool position, where your primary focus will be to keep the children active, engaged and progressing in their physical development. You will play a key role in building confidence, improving ability, and supporting the children across sports such as tennis, football and athletics. This goes beyond supervision — the family is looking for someone who can coach, motivate and develop. Alongside this, you will provide light academic support (Years 5 and below), helping to keep homework on track and reinforcing good study habits — however, this is not a heavily academic or tutoring-focused role. You will work closely with another nanny, ensuring the children’s routines, schedules and activities run smoothly. Schedule: Term time only
Monday–Thursday/Friday: 3:30pm – 7:30pm
Saturday: 8am-7pm
Flexibility required during school holidays and for occasional international travel. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organise structured, age-appropriate sports sessions
- Actively coach and develop skills across tennis, football and athletics
- Accompany children to clubs, training sessions and fixtures
- Support homework and general academic organisation (Years 5 and below)
- Manage afterschool routines, including activities, downtime and meals
- Coordinate schedules, playdates and weekend plans
- Work collaboratively with the existing nanny to ensure consistency
- Promote positive behaviour, teamwork and resilience
- Prepare healthy snacks/meals and encourage active, balanced lifestyles
- Assist with school admin, kit organisation and packing
- Travel with the family when required Candidate Profile
- Strong sporting background, must be a qualified teacher ideally in PE
- Confident coaching children across multiple sports
- Energetic, proactive and naturally engaging
- Able to motivate and build confidence in children of varying ages
- Organised and calm managing a busy household with five children
- Comfortable supporting primary-level homework (non-specialist)
- Team player, happy working alongside another nanny
- Positive, structured and consistent in approach Why This Role Stands Out
This is a rare opportunity to take on a sport-focused childcare role within a highly engaged and active household. The family is looking for someone who can genuinely influence the children’s development, not just manage their time, but enhance it.
