Mobile Automotive Technician - Esher

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Mobile Mechanic to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair division. You will bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers – from driveways to office car parks – delivering first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. From day one you’ll receive a fully equipped van, fuel card, uniform, tools and a diagnostic kit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs and safety checks on a variety of light vehicles on‑site.
• Communicate clearly with customers, offering advice and building trust as the face of the organization.
• Manage your own stock of parts and consumables, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Complete daily reporting and documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Adapt to a variety of tasks each day, from technical work to customer interaction.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance qualification (or an equivalent certification).
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points .
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions on the spot and manage your own workload.

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, 40‑hour week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ; one Saturday per month on a rotating schedule.
• Monday–Saturday availability (8 am–8 pm) for overtime and premium‑rate work.
• Provided: dedicated service van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Location: mobile – you will travel to customer sites across the service area.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: £45,378 per annum (inclusive of any applicable weighting allowance).
• On‑target earnings: up to £57,000 per annum through bonuses and overtime.
• Guaranteed overtime option: after the first month you can opt‑in to work extra rest days at £30 per hour, potentially adding £3,000–£5,000 annually.
