Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, captivating Geography instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)

  • Prepare to assume full departmental leadership, scheme-of-work design, and curriculum oversight as Head of Geography in January

  • Design and execute lessons that sharpen spatial awareness, critical analysis, and global inquiry

  • Monitor, analyze, and elevate pupil performance to secure outstanding GCSE examination results

  • Direct and lead immersive local and regional fieldwork experiences to deepen practical understanding

  • Maintain a focused, positive classroom environment that fosters academic curiosity and ambition

  • Perform Form Tutor duties, driving the holistic tracking and wellbeing of your student cohort

  • Shape the strategic direction and ongoing growth of the broader Humanities department
