AWS Fullstack Developer - Consultancy

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop modern, scalable web applications using Java and AWS Serverless Architecture.
• Integrate and manage a variety of AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, and more.
• Develop secure and automated code deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in code quality and software engineering.
• Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve codebase standards.
• Contribute to infrastructure management via CloudFormation and related AWS tooling.

Skills/Must have:

• Have proven experience as a Full Stack Developer within agile delivery teams.
• Be highly proficient in Java 11+, Spring, JUnit, and the full AWS Serverless suite (eg Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, API Gateway, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Demonstrate experience in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and security best practices.
• Be confident in Scripting with PowerShell or Python, and experienced with Docker and containerisation.
• Have knowledge of Front End development, ideally including Node, TypeScript, Jest, and Cucumber.
• Be familiar with test automation, QA practices, and tools like Postgres, Maven, and ServiceNow.
• Understand project tracking using agile tools such as Rally or similar.
• Hold current BPSS clearance.
