Caretaker - London - Immediate Start
A supportive London school is seeking a reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused Caretaker to join their site team for an immediate start . This role is essential in maintaining a safe, calm and well-functioning school environment .
Role Responsibilities
Opening and securing school buildings daily
Conducting routine checks on heating, lighting, plumbing, site safety and access
Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with safeguarding entry procedures
Handling minor repairs and maintenance (doors, fixtures, furniture, fittings)
Supporting classroom setups, furniture moves and event preparation
Monitoring site security and ensuring the school remains hazard-free

This is a school where site and caretaking staff are valued , not treated as an afterthought. The leadership team communicates clearly and respects work-life patterns — you will not be receiving unreasonable last-minute demands or crisis-driven directives.
