Role: Quality Assurance Assistant
Location: New Covent Garden, Vauxhall
Salary: £16.25 inclusive of holiday pay
Hours: 20 hours per week – Flexible

Monday-Friday & occasional evening or Sunday shifts

Platinum Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-known company, who have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join their technical team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, who is confident in ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met in a busy food production environment.

What’s involved?

• Carrying out hygiene and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) checks across production, intake, and dispatch areas
• Recording hygiene inspections, temperature checks, and cleaning verification forms
• Supporting food safety compliance, allergen controls, PPE checks, and product labelling verification
• Monitoring facility standards (walls, floors, ceilings, drains, machinery) and reporting issues
• Assisting with microbiological swabbing and external lab sample submissions
• Preparing for internal and external audits by keeping accurate and organised documentation
• Conducting occasional out-of-hours spot checks (evenings/Sundays)

Essential Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Confident communicator, able to challenge non-compliance constructively
• Basic IT skills (Excel, Word)
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated

Desirable:

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or hygiene-related role
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, or hygiene standards (training provided)
