The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our dedicated team in London at an outstanding independent school catering to students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia. Our school is thriving with around 210 pupils and is located on two sites: the senior department (Years 7 to 11) in Westminster and the junior department (Years 3 to 6) in Lambeth, approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk apart. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will provide a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service to a caseload of children with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), including those with statutory needs. You will contribute to providing optimal education opportunities for pupils with specific learning difficulties through a whole school approach and within a transdisciplinary framework. You will work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to identify specific difficulties and establish appropriate programmes. You will deliver high-quality therapy input within the classroom in selected lessons in liaison with teaching staff. You will produce termly Individual Education Plans (IEPs), IEP reviews, and school reports for children under your care. You will conduct parent consultation meetings in conjunction with teachers.
What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
- HCPC registration
- Experience in a similar paediatric setting
