We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker to care for our two children's care packages in Romford and Rainham ( Essex).

What you'll be doing:

You will be supporting two children's packages of care in Romford and Rainham, Essex, providing care to children with additional health needs within their family homes.

One client is a 16-year-old male with low muscle tone who has a gastrostomy tube and requires the use of a suction machine. He is mobile but can be unsteady on his feet at times. He is highly independent, communicates his needs clearly, and enjoys activities such as playing on his PlayStation and iPad, gaming, using his swing set, and swimming during the summer. We provide care weekday late afternoons (3pm-7pm) and Saturdays (9am-2pm).

The second client is a young girl with a breathing condition (CCHS) who uses a BiPAP machine to support her breathing. She is mobile, moves independently, and communicates well. This role also involves supporting her with clinical care; full training will be provided. This is to care for her overnight (10pm-7am).

Shifts:

Must be flexible to work both days and waking nights Day shifts in Rainham: Wed & Thurs afternoons (3pm-7pm) plus Saturdays (9am-2pm) Waking night shifts in Romford (10pm-7am) - approx 2 nights a weekPlus additional cover will be available to cover for other Support Workers annual leave/sickness.

Please note we are recruiting a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part Schedule 9
