SEN Teaching Assistant – North London

Location: North London
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help children access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The role involves providing one-to-one and small group support, following personalised education plans, and helping students develop key life and learning skills.
This Special Needs Assistant role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in education and training, who wants to build experience working in a school setting, especially with students who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils as a SEN Teaching Assistant in the classroom and during break times.
Assisting with learning activities, personal care (if needed), and classroom management.
Working with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
Encouraging student engagement and emotional development.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Special Needs Assistant or interest in working with children with SEN.
A calm, patient, and nurturing personality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to professional development and a passion for education and training.
