CATERING LOUNGE SUPERVISOR

ROLE PURPOSE:

We're recruiting an experienced Catering Lounge Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and customer service, and who can confidently oversee on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining hygiene standards, managing stock, and leading a dedicated team to provide exceptional meals for staff at ExCel London.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIIES:

• Oversee the daily operations of the staff canteen, ensuring efficiency and high service standards.
• Manage and supervise kitchen and service staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Implement menus in collaboration with chefs, considering staff preferences and dietary requirements.
• Maintain food quality, hygiene, and health & safety standards in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of fresh ingredients/ menu throughout the day.
• Oversee budgeting and cost control to ensure profitability and waste reduction.
• Ensure excellent customer service and address any staff feedback or concerns.
• Coordinate with FOH teams to adjust catering needs based on peak and off-peak times.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Budgeting and cost-control experience.
• A passion for high-quality food service and staff well-being.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working in large-scale catering or event-based environments.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management.
