About the role

The main duties of a Fire Door Installer include:

• Completing the refurbishment, maintenance, inspection and always delivering a high level of workmanship

• Working in a team and independently when required

• Liaise with management team daily

• Performing inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify any repairs or replacements needed.

• Installing fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.

• Installing and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices.

• Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances.

• Maintaining accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections

• Adhereing to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained

• Traveling to multiple sites as required

About the Candidate

The Fire Door Installer should possess:

• UK Driving License

• Knowledge of all aspects of fire door Inspection, installation and maintenance

• Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail.

• NVQ 2 Carpentry

• Health & Safety awareness, and safe working
