We are seeking a professional, organised, and proactive School Administrator to join a busy and friendly school office in Richmond, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, supporting staff and pupils, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of a primary school.

The Role

As a School Administrator, you will provide vital support across the school, assisting with administrative tasks, communication, and office management. You will be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a professional, friendly, and efficient service. You will also support the senior leadership team with organisational and administrative tasks to keep the school running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include managing correspondence, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and assisting with pupil data. Accuracy, discretion, and excellent organisational skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support for the school office

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors

  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and phone calls

  • Maintain accurate pupil and staff records, including attendance and admissions

  • Assist with organising meetings, events, and school communications

  • Support the senior leadership team with administrative tasks as required

  • Prepare reports, letters, and documentation for school purposes

  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection compliance

  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school and support colleagues as needed

  • Have prior experience in school administration or a similar role

  • Be highly organised, professional, and proactive

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Be able to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple tasks

  • Be friendly, approachable, and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Show a commitment to safeguarding and supporting a school environment
